UPDATE 5/3/14 - If you have been wondering where your yarn or book purchase is, I was able to ship some of them out before I was HAMMERED with a flu-like illness that then turned into walking pneumonia. I am looking hard for my mojo to return! It is starting to. At least I am trying to will it back. So anyway... there have been a few more sales, possible sales, and prices slashed on the remainder. Clean me out, please!
UPDATE SUNDAY 4/27: I've taken out the stuff that's sold, so hopefully it won't be so slow and annoying to scroll. And then added some new, and will continue to add more this afternoon. :)
LATE SUNDAY EVENING: OK, this is the end for this round. I have to stop now, because I need to concentrate on work now. But this was fun. Please keep on looking and buying the rest. I need to get this out of here! Thanks so much for an already-successful sale. Now just finish it up, mkay? There are a few things left, and I want them out of here! :)
I logged into Typepad in time to read that Typepad was DDOS'd this week, apparently, and the whole platform, the blogs, whatever-whatever, have been affected.
This could be bad timing for me to hold a stash sale, but since I started with that intention, I'm just going to follow through. I hope this DDOS business doesn't prevent the blog from being seen, because the weight of the stash is making me claustrophobic, and I'm cleaning HOUSE. I hope you have fun buying my stuff!
RULES OF THE SALE: PayPal only. And this time I'm shipping to the U.S. only. I apologize to my international friends, but my life is just too darned busy right now to have to fill out customs forms and all that nonsense. The whole point of this thing is to simplify and lighten my life, not make it more complicated. And I won't tolerate any nonsense such as occurred at my last stash sale, where some crazy eBay woman accused me of misrepresenting that the yarn was "new and unused." Weirdos, BEGONE. I will not put up with your weirdness! This is MY house. Hence why I am not selling on eBay, but here. This is a stash sale. Yes, I have owned the yarn since I bought it from a store or a fiber festival or whatever. You get that, right? *sigh*
Anyhoo.
Please write to me at norma.knits[at]gmail[dot-com] to buy. Shipping will be via USPS, and you pay the shipping charges. I will package everything in either Tyvek shipping bags, padded envelopes, or boxes that come out of my pocket.
Anything that doesn't sell, I'll donate to some local charity.
All the yarn has been kept in plastic bins in my smoke-free, cat-free home. There is, as you probably know, a sweet little Yorkie who shares our home, but he doesn't care about yarn unless I'm knitting it.
So, let's get started, shall we? (Keep coming back and refresh your screen, because I'm going to keep adding more stuff.)
3 2-ounce (180-yard) skeins "Champagne Yarn" from Looking Back Farm. Made in Vermont. You can read the fiber content on the label there. It's chartreuse in color, and it's quite soft. I was going to make a scarf out of it.
$36 $30
Berroco Pure Pima. It looks sort of charcoal gray in the photo -- sorry -- it's actually a lovely pine green. Color 2240, Lot 860. 14 Skeins, plus one rolled up into a ball. They are 115 yards each. $80 $70
Patons Grace - Baby Cotton. Supersoft and sheeny. 11 skeins. Most of them are coral, and various others, as shown in pic. $50 $40
Black Water Abbey Yarn in Chestnut Brown. Dye Lot 310106. 6 skeins. $75 $65
NEW ITEMS LISTED 5/4/14:
2 Skeins Peace Fleece Worsted -- Sahkalian Salmon $12
Wowee! That all looks lovely and I will keep coming back, although I am in Canada. Bah, I don't need any more yarn anyways, but it is nice to look.

Is the Peruvian Tweed worsted? Fingering? I keep coming back to look at it but don't know what I'd use it for!!

I'd love the aran tweed but I am discriminated against for being a "foreigner" (sob) :)
