Even to this day, some 30 years after I started in this profession, whenever I read something, or listen to something, or watch a movie, or even have a conversation with someone, it's all about words, words, words, and whether they might translate correctly were I to write them in steno. I always have a piece of paper and a pen or pencil nearby to jot down words to add to my steno dictionary, or to check to see if they are already in there.
This morning I had a little list of my recent jottings near the computer, and I decided to make a word cloud of them. This will give you a little glimpse into the scary recesses of my mind, whot?!
(The right side of the word cloud image is slightly cut off in my blog columns, I believe. If so, click on it to view the whole thing.)
That's a great variety of words. I want to see the tagine brothel in action (but not face to face).

I cannot put my finger on why I find that so totally awesome, but I do; I totally do.

Well, at least if someone tells you "you're full of it", you can smile and say, "I know".

Love that list of words in a word cloud. It makes me curious about what speaker could possibly use all those words in one discourse. When I proofread in the military some 20 years ago, I found myself proofreading absolutely everything - menus, billboards, hand-written letters, etc. I grew so tired of it, that I gave it all up. Now I live with grammatical mistakes and egregious errors in style... and smile.

Is Mr. J. going to guess when that big snowpile at work will be all gone? Imagine if he hid his toy there last fall...

Yikes! You should set up a word of the day calendar or something. That would be neat ;)
Finally get to sit down and catch up reading your blog while Nadia sleeps. Wonderful! Love Mr. J. Makes me want a puppy soo bad... but we have to wait until the baby is older and one child closer to out of the house I think... Better for the cats that way!
BTW, you should see out snow piles! They look like molten rock like in that asteroid movie Armageddon. I should take pictures....
