I love potatoes, so I would still buy seed potatoes.

Last year you grew your potatoes in black trash bags, right? I haven't started even thinking about my garden yet after my two really crummy years in a row. If you are ever in the Boston area, I might have to drag you to my house if only for help in finding the sunniest spot in my back yard. I might have to resign myself to shade plants instead of food plants.

Well...the cold has come south where the trees had been tricked into blooming...it's even supposed to snow tomorrow here in Southwest Virginia...and get well below freezing Sunday night...there goes my peach crop...hope it doesn't hurt the pollinators...

    Becky

Well, I notice you found no reason to use LOL, the other new dictionary entry. I think they should put WTF in there, especially this spring. It's been WTF weather down here (in the Midsouth), too.

The first step of planting in the cold frame will be finding the cold frame under the snow...

I just can't bear thinking about the w**th*r right now. From inside, it's looks all sunny and spring like, outside it's all BRRRRR!

I thought I read somewhere that storing onions and potatoes together encouraged the potatoes to sprout.......

That cold wind took my breath away, except for that needed to swear, earlier today... I think the wind came straight off Mt. Washington to us.

You can NEVER trust potatoes. Never.

I hate potatoes because of their eye stalks. Ugh, gross.

Looks like Mr. Jeffries is sharing some secrets with Hank.

We planted this week and, of course, within a few days there was a hard freeze and today we have snow. Gardening is an act of grace and faith!

my storing of potatoes always end up looking like that.

That is a great photo of Mr Jefferies - love his ears, blowing in the wind!
