Dear Readers,
I got Alpha a new shirt, just to serve as a reminder:
If it looks like I have a bit of a pained look on my face, I do. That's because Alpha made me sit on that shirt out on the cold, cold snow. I don't really think that was necessary, do you?! And plus, I wanted to play with the squirrel. But a spokesdog does what a spokesdog has to do. You know how it is.
Here's what's on the back:
It might not look like it on your monitor, but the color is really on the brown side of grey. Dark taupe, Alpha tells me it is, maybe.
The real story behind the shirt is written here, in the Paddle blog. And if you want to get one of these shirts for YOUR alpha, you'll have to call or email Mandy. Here is the contact info for you:
Blue Paddle Bistro
PO Box 524
316 U.S. Route 2
South Hero, VT 05486
tel: (802) 372-4814
email: [email protected]
The Paddle is closed on Tuesdays, but of course you can email anytime. Just don't get all bent out of shape if Mandy doesn't answer you right away. She's probably out snowshoeing with Wyeth or something.
Alpha wants you to know that the shirts are preshrunk and they run a little small, so sizing up is a good idea. She usually wears a medium, but I had to get her a large.
Also, Alpha says please go and eat and drink at the Blue Paddle -- you will not be disappointed. Put that on your bucket list or something. It's got such a great, fun atmosphere, and the food is fabulous. Be sure to go upstairs to one of the upper dining rooms so you can see the really cool driftwood stump that an artist made into a moose head. Very, very cool. The place can get very busy, so reservations are a good idea, especially if you're driving a long way to get there.
FUN FACT: Alpha's sister Gail and brother-in-law Mark started their first out-of-their-house nut-free chocolate factory in this very building. It was once someone's home, it was once a bank (!) before Gail and Mark bought it, and then it served as their chocolate factory until they outgrew it and built their own purpose-built larger factory. And now it is a super-cool restaurant run by two super-cool women.
Love,
Mr. Jefferies
Very nifty. I'm assuming it is a long sleeve T, because the idea of a short sleeve T is more than I can stand right now.

Nope, Seanna Lea, it's short-sleeved. But don't despair! Spring is right around the corner! :)

Norma! That's so great that you're related to the Nut Free Chocolate folks! My step-brother has a severe peanut allergy and has been happily eating VNFC for years! It's an awesome product, whenever I go over there I eat the chocolate chips out of the bag. What a funny and small blogosphere.

Love the shirt Mr J: you have very good taste. Also really love the squirrel, or at least Max does (love his I mean!)

Norma - Wyeth is a what kind of dog? Looks every bit like a German Shorthair Pointer, but my GSP doesn't have muzzle whiskers like Wyeth does.

But Jeffers, you must admit that Alpha permitted you to sit on the shirt instead of parking your tender butt right in the snow. She deserves some credit.

I remember when it used to be a bank--my parents had an account there when we spent our summers in Grand Isle! It's a great old building. Thanks for sharing.
