I'll be flying the redeye tonight. Therefore, I expect to be quite blurry-eyed for the foreseeable future, but it will be worth every zizzzy moment. It's been the best vacation I've ever taken. Anne said it today: I could be the next American Express (oops -- Mastercard!) commercial --
Flights: $XXX
Helping to stimulate the Utah economy: +/- $XXXX
Memories built with some of the best friends in the world: Priceless.
------------
Every delicious minute of my time in Utah has been filled with moments like these:
I blogged from Blazing Needles yesterday. I was the official tester of Blazing Needles' newly installed wi-fi, and Cheryl got the shot:
I'm presently blogging from the Jitterbug Coffee Hop in Salt Lake City, where I'm joined by a very sweet and boisterous stitch-n-bitch crowd: Cheryl, Becky who's just moved here from Boston, Kim, Margene, Shelly, Gwen, Heather, Susan, Chris, Miriam, and Lisa. We're all knitting, eating, talking, laughing, drinking various beverages, and celebrating Heather's birthday.
We've had a full day today, including lunch and -- ahem -- shopping at Sundance, and travels through several stunningly beautiful canyons whose names I don't remember right now. When we're done here tonight, I'll get to the airport and head back across the country to get back home and to work. I've resolved to put SLC on my alert list through all the major travel services and promised (threatened?) to be on the first plane back here that I can fit into my budget and my schedule. Hmmmm. I wonder if the U of U needs CART...
I miss you already. It was epic.
See you at Rhinebeck.
mwah!

What an incredibly fabulous time for all! I think you should look into that CART at the U of U. Seriously. A semester at home, a semester in Utah... :^)

I just knew you'd have a fabulous time. It was meant to be after your cancelled trip last winter. The weather looks divine and who could be bored with a group like that???? Have a safe trip home.

It sounds like a fantastic visit, Norma. I'm glad you had so much fun with so many people!
(And, isn't it Mastercard?)

I knew you would just love Utah, and trust me, Norma, when I say that you only saw the tip of the iceberg. Next trip you have to go south and see some of the National Parks (Arches and Canyonlands are two of my favorite places on earth!) and you need to see those mountains covered in snow! It's a special place, for sure! Glad you had a blast, but there was never any doubt in my mind!
