We got yer winners of the mnemonics contest right here:
GRAND PRIZE WINNER (i.e., "the one that really worked") Wendyfor her entry, "Swamp McFemp, Jr." (awesome! Easy to remember!)FIRST PRIZE WINNER (i.e., "Abigail Thought This Was Most Brilliant Mnemonic")Leannefor her entry, "Some People Are Really Crazy For Mnemonics. My Job Was Really Made Pretty Easy." (seriously, how brilliant is that?!)It cannot be said strenuously enough that Abigail had a HARD TIME deciding this one. She wanted to give out a MILLION prizes, she said. She thanks you all for playing and for taking an interest in her studies and for giving her great, practical help with her test.
SECOND PRIZE WINNER (i.e., "Thanks for playing/random drawing") Amyfor her entry, "Abigail's Mom Prefers Wool For Making Extraordinary Small Childrens' Raiments. Jeepers, Purple Mukluks?"All winners have been notified by email, and I'm waiting to hear back from them. Wendy will get first choice of the prizes, then Leanne, then Amy. Thank you, everyone, for playing!
Bravo to the winners! I am so jealous. I REALLY wanted that silk and wool. But you can't contest greatness. Swamp McFemp Jr. has it DOWN.

Congratulations to the winners and GOOD LUCK ABIGAIL! I always wanted to take the LSAT. I used to buy the study books so I could do all the logic problems. Then I started knitting, thank god. ;-)

Wow! This is the first blog contest I've ever won! Glad you liked it, Abigail. But take note - I made a correction to it, as the letters were wrong. It should be "Some People Are Really Crazy For Mnemonics. My Job Was Made Pretty Easy" - Note, the second "Really" should be "Made" to get all the letters right.

I still can't pronounce mnemonics! Do you know how hard it is to spell something you can't pronounce? Ingenious, though, and definitely prize-worthy.

"The Amazing Adventures of Swamp McFemp, Jr" would be a pretty kickass blog title.
