All right, apparently that wasn't enough of an enticement. As of this writing, I only managed to beg 85 comments out of you. If we're going to even begin to approximate Margene's, we've got to hit at least 100 a day for the next two weeks. So I only give you a B- for your efforts. Think I'm a hard grader? Tough! It's my rules!
Fine, then. Maybe if I show you a picture of the pretty cashmere.
That's quite a lot of yardage, it's aran weight, and it fluffs up like you would not believe when it's washed (you'll want to wash it before you knit it, because these cones are intended and treated for machine knitting). I can show you something that I knitted with a similar amount of this yarn several years ago:
That's a stunning 400m of Bamboo/Merino/Bison laceweight.
Or these DVDs:
And Mr. Jefferies has thrown in a gift, as well:
Better get those comments in. You never know which one is the right one.
I have stayed up way too late for two nights. I'm beginning to think commenting on your blog is the reason-can't think of any other. The cashmere looks beautiful, and I love Aran weight yarn. The cat sitting on my arm as I type does not approve of Mr. Jeffries contribution though. Doing my best to help you with your goal, Norma.

My cats agree they aren't happy with Mr. Jeffries contribution but they like the yarn.

Regular reader delurking to help you with your comment count. Does Mr J wonder why you have pots of poo in the house when you want him to poo outside?

Oh Juh-Yeez! Here we go again.
Comment.
There.
I'll pass on prizes, thanks.

Comment....;-)
Love the cup.....and the yarn......and the DVDs and Mr. Jeffries. I know he is not included in the prizes but I love him anyway.

Ooo I have 2 cats and I can tell you they'd lie any which way they could. On the floor, on the fancy new couches (grr), on the kitchen counters(@%$&*!), and worse they would lie shamelessly about their lying ways. As much as I love the yarn and dvds, I'm crossing my fingers for the mug.
Posted by: Olivia | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 01:09 AM
Love it all.

Cup or DVDs? Hard to say, really.

I was at my LYS just yesterday fondling the Kami Bison. I haven't worked with it, but it is gloriously soft to the touch and those colors are super rich!

Ok....I'm in....long time reader....first time commenter!!!!
Posted by: Anna | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 04:52 AM
Of course, the problem is that we no longer know whether we're responding to the real Norma or to the clone Norma, especially now that Mr. Jeffries is in the big city. Coincidence? I think not!
Posted by: Annie | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 05:14 AM
Yarn or DVDs? Hmmmm.

Well, I'm happy to join in the fray (no pun intended) to the 100-comment-a-day finish lime! Even my cats love that mug! Kind regards, Lynn

I am embarassed to have to be enticed to comment by such lovely prizes. I enjoy your writing (maybe not so much the cleanse!) but at least it is a different POV!! Thanks Norma. 100 it will be.

I'll leave a comment even without the bribes.
Posted by: gayle | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 06:58 AM
But for bribes, I'll comment twice...
Posted by: gayle | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 06:58 AM
Love Mr. Jefferies' contribution. So true! ; )

Okay, okay, I give. Finally delurking to post a comment. I cannot resist the cashmere. The cashmere draws me in. You deserve an A for bribery.

Love the blog happy to help your numbers
Posted by: Betty | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 07:17 AM
Well, I never win ANYTHING, but I'm happy to keep commenting if it makes you happy!
Actually, I exaggerate.... I did win something once, at a La Leche conference when my youngest was 2. He is now almost 31, and just got engaged! The prize was a pre-natal natural childbirth class. Since I had delivered 3 children via C-section (AND had the tubes tied) it was graciously passed on to the next raffle-ee. Since then, no winnings. But I'll comment, anyway! Love your blog.

I heart you and Mr. Jeffries
Posted by: caryn | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 07:27 AM
I've always been curious about how to wash yarn off a cone... do you have to put it in a skein?
Posted by: Allison | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 07:38 AM
Alright, I'll bite.
Perhaps we should all leave two comments per post. Or more! Would that put our grade up, or would it be considered cheating and get us expelled?
Can you afford to expel us?
Posted by: LaurieM | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 07:46 AM
This makes number two.
Not that kind of number two! Sheesh.
Though I did spend the weekend clearing the backyard of frozen dog droppings. Such fun!
Posted by: LaurieM | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 07:47 AM
My dog is so smart, he learned to bounce his own ball. He drops it out of his mouth and catches it on the rebound.
Of course, your dog couldn't learn a trick like this cause he's so close to the ground, the ball wouldn't have a chance to bounce. Ha, ha! (Not saying your dog isn't smart of course.)
My dog plays hide and seek with us in the winter when it's too miserable to go out and play. We throw the ball downstairs and hide. He runs back upstairs to find us.
That's three... Should I stop now?
Posted by: LaurieM | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 07:51 AM
Oh, my dog is a boxer. Should have mentioned that.

Ok, I'll try harder. I'll come back everyday. We won't let you down!
And you know, if you trick Margene into thinking she will get extra entries for referrals she will send a few hundred people over here to comment. It worked for Jessalu.

I always thought that if cats could talk they would just order you around. (Can you tell I grew up with dogs?)
Posted by: Emily G | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 08:00 AM
Okay, you had me with cashmere. I have to say, I miss Mr. Jeffries. I'm not too much of a dog person but he's a little cutie man.
Posted by: Becky | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 08:05 AM
No curve? Kami Bison - oooohh. I just read a strange reference to the word Kami but I'm not going to tell you. Maybe in a comment tomorrow. Mr. J would approve, though.

obediently delurking to support part of my morning ritual - I miss Mr. J.

Posted by: Ellie | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 08:26 AM
Okay, I comment every now and again. What? You'd prefer I comment daily?! Oh, okay. I can do that. The cashmere has nothing to do with it, really.
Posted by: jill | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 08:28 AM
It's the cat mug. I must have it. Really.Must.Have.It. Tho the bison would be nice also.
Posted by: Jeanne | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 08:30 AM
Oh Norma, I'm trying to help you. The yarn is lovely and I know just who could use Mr. Jefferies cup. Comment, comment, comment. :)
Posted by: Susie B | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 08:31 AM
Well, I was working, or trying to, so I haven't read any blogs in a couple of days. Sorry dahlin! Is J back home w/ you? I have a couple EZ books, and there are a couple of sweaters that knock about in the back of my brain, but I haven't seen that book yet. Hmm.... I just cleaned out a box worth of patterns and books, maybe that means I can add a new one?
Posted by: lisa | Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 08:31 AM
Geez! I am having a bad week but it is nice to know I can accomplish one thing -- posting a comment to Norma's wonderful blog. I just hope I don't reveal this at work: "Did you get that project completed?" "No, but I DID post a comment on Norma's blog!"
