Dear Readers,
It's not only YOU that Alpha is ignoring. I'm getting a fair bit of ignorance -- I mean ignoring -- from her, TOO! She's gone all the time, and she just never wants to do what I want to do anymore -- such as throwing the toy or going to visit people or dogs I want to visit, or feeding me extra treats.
But I'll tell you one thing -- she always has time to give me a bath when I don't want one. Or time to make me go out for a quick walk when it's raining or dark out -- and you know how much I hate the dark! Or she really has plenty of time to tell me to "go lie down" or to disturb my nice nap on her lap by bumping me with her knitting all the damn time.
I've just about HAD it with her.
She did finally take me for a real nice walk yesterday. Well, at least it started out nice, all until I got burdocks in three of my paws. OUUUUUCH!
But I will give her this: She did stop when I looked at her with owie eyes and pull those things out of my feet. She can be nice when she wants to be. Then again, she sort of took away all her goodwill when she brought me home and gave me a bath and a brushing. *sigh* When am I ever going to teach her?
I've tried ev-er-y-thing to get her attention, and she is barkin' oblivious.
*double sigh*
Love,
Mr. Jefferies
Wait a minute -- you say she's knitting??
:)

Well, Sweetie, if you can draw graffiti without opposible thumbs, then you should be able to help her knit!!! Won't she be thrilled?

Poor Mr. Jeffries! It's a dog's life.

Maybe you have to try a little harder to get her attention. Racing through the house while barking incessantly might do it...

"Fair bit of ignorance" bwahahahahahah!
Hang in there Mr.J, baths and all, you know she loves you :^)

You have the best mustache I've ever seen (on dog or man). Very lovely. If you keep up the good work, you will be a regular Van Gogh (with both ears).

I can totally understand over here at Lap Dog Knits. Mine has brought two more dogs to live here until the end of the month - that makes 3 large dogs and my buddy "the house cat" and I have to really keep on my toes or I get stepped on. At least Mine took us all out for a drive last weekend and of course, I always get the front seat. Sure hope she gets the message from you soon my little friend!

It's a fact of life, Mr. Jeffries, that someone has to go out and earn the kibble.

I am also ignoring my puppy this week ... but only because we're visiting Vermont! I am in love with your state (and my dog loves the hiking trails ... when she gets to go with me).
Thank you for posting so much about your gardening, your campaigning, your wonderful state. I am thrilled to be here and can't wait to explore more!

Anyway, please quietly happy! This is life. We want to accept life bravely, bold, and never smiled.Do you think so?

Both water and peanut butter will soften burrs in a doggie's coat or paws. Mr. Jefferies might prefer the peanut butter ;o)

You're the smartest, most journalistic dog (may I call you a dog?) on the blog thingie, Mr. J. You're too cool. Too bad you have not succeeded in properly training Alpha. Keep trying. You know what W.C. said, "Never, never, never give up."

The beard makes you look a little bit like Rasputin.
