That's because we loooove you, Norma!

I think I dislocated my shoulder today and that it didn't go back in correctly. I'm hoping that's all it is, anyway. :)

    Seanna Lea

It sounds like you had a great day!

I used to eat Ben & Jerry's all the time. The best thing was in college (a women's college) a local pizza place would deliver pints of B&Js. It was so dangerous!

    Kristen

    Hooray for elbow healing progress!

Sorry I missed your blogiversary. All I can do is echo your words--ONWARDS AND UPWARDS--don't let the buttheads get you down.

    Paula

Spring will make things better too. It will be time to plant peas before you know it.

    naomi

    Yay, functioning elbow!

    Bev

I didn't respond yesterday but I do enjoy reading your blog. Have a great day.

    kathy

My wish for you is to reconnect with your unfettered joyful bloggy self. I had no idea a chiropractor "did" elbows. Who knew? Take care and hope it stays in place.

    Carole

Excellent news on the elbow! Doesn't it make you wonder HOW you dislocated it, though? That would seem like a hard thing to do. I'm glad you got lots of love in yesterday's post. You totally deserved it. Mwah.

    Joannah

Well, I don't know that I count as a loooong time reader but I have one little bitty "question". Ahem...Is it necessary... I mean, is it really necessary to write about Ben and Jerry's first thing in the morning? Since it apparently is necessary, I'm glad your elbow is feeling better. I bet it would be awful to have Ben and Jerry's in the house and an elbow that you couldn't bend! Have a nice trip to the beach ;)

    marianne

No, no, thank YOU! and Happy Happy 6th! (somehow didn't get that in my comment yesterday :^)
ooohhhh, he cracked your bones! but WoW, I'm SO glad it's getting better!
Best of luck getting your hands on Believe.
mmmm. ice cream. good ice cream. ;^)

    Vicki

    That's fantastic!

Hm. Interesting about the elbow situation. Makes me wonder... I'm so glad it's feeling better!

    Bridget

I was going to comment yesterday, but we lost power out of the blue for the evening! I do enjoy your blog, and agree with you about people with no senses of humor. I cannot imagine such a dull kind of existence.

Glad your elbow is doing better.

    Susan B

Aren't Chiropractors miracle workers? It's amazing how all of our parts are connected - and how stress manifests itself in weird places in our bodies! But Chiros can almost always make it all better.

Glad you're feeling better physically and emotionally. Stay well!

    Mary

At this age (I have you beat by almost a decade), the words "snap, crackle, pop" take on a whole new meaning. Glad your chiro ws able to snap your elbow back into place.

    Kayten

Yay for the elbow! I miss my chiropractor. Haven't found one since we moved. A good one is an amazing thing.
On the other hand, while my camera was missing, it apparently decided that the thing to do was place itself somewhere that would ensure a cracked screen. I am not happy. Needs to be replaced. Ugh. It was a fairly decent one($$$). Given my situation, the replacement will not be as versatile.

    jill

Even though my chiro is short, quiet, and looks a little like a primate, I think I could find myself in an illicit affair - he's such a miracle worker!

    Happy Day!

    margene

Maybe my arm is dislocated, too. Love of blogging hasn't quite made it's way here. Let's hope it does.

    Julie

YAY for elbows back where they belong!

    Marcia

I was too busy celebrating my REAL 65th birthday yesterday to spend much time online, so belated congratulations on your milestone! By the way, if you just remember that March 6 is my birthday, you won't ever forget your blogiversary again. Just saying.

    Janice in Camas

"Believe" is available now on my Netflix queue so you should be able to put your hands on it somewhere. Happy rest of the weekend.

    Deb in PA

It's your thoughts you are posting, so you're allowed to say what you want. I agree completely.

I don't always agree with what you say, but your posts make me think, even when I don't agree.

    That's what life is about.

Please, continue on the way you are.

    Sandy

Belated anniversary wishes-you really do ROCK Norma! Love, love, love your blog. You always put a smile on my face, and, as I've said to my husband many times, remind me a bit of Erma Bombeck in the way you write! So glad you're feeling better, too.

    Konna

Your blog is one of four that I read on a daily basis.....I love your sense of humor and share what you write with my hubby on a regular basis. Keep it up!

Sorry I'm late in response to your blogiversary entry.....was riding a mtn bike for 68 km!

    gayle

Just the idea of having to start my day without you strikes fear in my heart...
    Please just keep on marching!
(Need a pair of hob-nail boots for trampling the humorless ones?)

    kmkat

Give that chiro a hug! Glad you are better. And thanks for the heads-up on Believe. EI is my favorite.

    Sheila

Glad you found out about your elbow and it's feeling better! My favourite cold thing is Chapman's Cherry frozen yoghurt. We can only get it in certain stores here in Canada and I'm not sure you can get it in the States at all. Pity. Chapman's frozen yoghurt is the best thing about the frozen food aisle.

Spring is sprunging with lots of nice sunny days and gardening weather. I be that will lift your spirits. Winter is enough to make anyone want to beat Mother Nature even if it is mild (like ours was this year).

And as others have said, you always make me smile. One day I hope to return the favour.

    lisa

Hey! I'm going to have to go back to my doc and mention a manipulation. The PT noted that those little elbow bones of mine protrude more than most people's, and that the one on the sore arm even more so. I'm done w/ PT, still doing stretches, but it still really hurts. And I really loved my manipulating osteopath. Venezuelan with such a cute accent, and he cracks himself up with knitting/spinning puns, so much that he snorts. Pretty entertaining...

I missed posting a comment yesterday, so happy 6th! I don't comment often but do try to let blogs I like know that I appreciate them. I do like yours and often felt you would be a fun person to know in "real" life. Unfortunately, the internet allows the jackasses to be more brazen than they might be if face to face. I'm glad you are here.

I AM OFFENDED AT THE LACK OF GALLOWS HUMOR IN THIS POST.
(sorry, was away from the computer and only just catching up. love you.)

    Sara Schraeder

Didn't get a chance to comment yesterday but I wanted to come out of hiding and show my support. I found you last fall when I found out about the Red Scarf Project and stayed for the yogurt. I enjoy seeing every day what you have to say. And you are so right about Fage yogurt; it is wonderful.

Looking forward to the gardening season ahead and hearing how your garden grows. Keep doing what you are doing!

    Rhonda from Baddeck

I was reading all the comments yesterday, got interrupted and couldn't get back to offer my felicitations -- so Happy Anniversary-belated! You're a breath of fresh air - whether it's light-hearted, ranting or informative, you're always thought-provoking (and often action-provoking!). I'm looking forward to reading your incisive ramblings (is that an oxymoron?) for a long time to come -- on whatever schedule you choose. You make more of a difference than you'll ever know.

(And I'm really glad your elbow is better.)

    Cookie

Thank goodness the elbow is feeling better! Do you do netflix? It might be the answer for you.

    Marji

A day late in my congrats for your 6th anniversary!

Maybe your spirits would be lifted if you started thinking and planning for your garden!

    ringer

Rats! I'm late again. Happy 6th Blogiversary plus 1! And be glad you can't hear me sing :-)

    Judi

WOW! I usually read your blog everyday, but missed it yesterday. I love your blog BECAUSE you are you. If you were some kind of sanitized automaton I wouldn't bother. If your "style" offended me I would just stop reading.

Where the hell do people get off telling you how to decorate YOUR living room - and just how do they think throwing a turd in it will make things better? This is YOUR blog - write whatever makes you happy. Anyone who doesn't like it should go somewhere else, or better yet, write their own damn blog.

You can now go back to enjoying life and writing what you wish (please don't delete any more posts), saying what you mean and not worrying about anyone else because I am now steamed enough for both of us.

Happy blogiversary - your blog makes me happy, thank you.

    JudyM

Norma- I love your blog and find you smart, witty and thoroughly readable. Keep at it girlfriend.

    sil

Well I love you no matter what you do or don't write. I'd adore it if you used the f-word in every f-ing sentence. Lawyer jokes are good too...

Happy anniversary and hang in there for spring. Kisses!

    Sarah

Yay! I'm so glad you are getting relief. It is quite possible my comment yesterday made little to no sense, and I'm glad you tolerate in spite of it.

    Doris

    Glad you are feeling better.

    Melissa

I have been sporadic on my computer for a bit, so missed the storm here. But, I love your blog! Have been reading for years, and years. I love Mr. Jefferies, and your sense of humor, and your adventures.

    Go Norma Go!

Chiropractic treatment is one of the best methods for treating numerous health problems naturally. After years of experience being a chiropractor, I have found that it is a powerful way to solve many pain conditions, like headaches, neck pain and back pain, as well as many non-pain condition as well, such as fatigue, sleep problems, and sinus problems.
