1. Ravelry is not picking up my posts. Hello? Hello? Is this thing on?
2. I'm sure you've already seen the latest brilliance that is Kay and Ann, but in case you haven't, please go watch.
3. Red Scarf 2010.1 is completed:
4 balls of Knit Picks Gloss Heavy Worsted that I dyed myself. (It was creamy white and I used Jacquard Acid Dyes to make it a nice warm red.)
US 9 needles
This yarn makes such a luxurious scarf -- absolutely lovely -- so soft, and warm and with a sheen. It is a heavy yarn, and so if you're going to use it for the Red Scarf Project, I recommend using a flat pattern such as the basketweave I used, so that it fits in the packing boxes without any trouble.
4. I've even added a couple of inches to the right front of my mom's sweater, where I had left off before Christmas.
5. Mr. Jefferies opened up a Facebook page! Go on in and friend him. No guarantees it'll work, since I had no luck with it last night. It was there, it wasn't there, it was working, it wasn't working. When MrJefferies asked to friend Norma Jarvis Miller and Abigail Miller and Ryan Serhant, Facebook claimed that NONE of us existed.
So what else is new, huh? Social networking sites are more like social notworking sites most of the time, I swear. But anyway, there is already a Mr Jefferies in there -- some science teacher. The nerve! That is NOT the one you are looking for, obviously. You are looking for MrJefferies, with no spaces or periods, and you will recognize his photo, I hope -- He really doesn't look ANYthing like a science teacher. Go ahead, see if you can find him and friend him. He'll be very happy if you do. That is, if Facebook doesn't foil us all.
So early in the morning and a hearty good laugh already! Hadn't seen the latest from Mason Dixon, they are so creative and funny.
So maybe now I should get a facebook acct. so I could friend Mr. J. Hey, maybe he could try teaching science,he has so many talents already!

Ravelry doesn't notice my blog posts, either. I think it ignores me because I don't use all the bells and whistles it has to offer...

So once I could spell his name right (gotta love copy and paste), I sent the friend request. Can you believe there's another canine Mr. J???

Copy and paste was my friend - Hi Mr. Jeffries!
MrJeffries? MrJefferis?
MrJefferies! There we are...

Every once in a while, Ravelry ignores my posts for a weeks or so. . . and then, suddenly, picks them all up. The mystery. . .

Yes, this is one of my favorites that you've knitted. Gorgeous!

My nephews made a Facebook page for my Mother's dog and after a few months, Facebook kicked him off because he was a dog! Your scarf is lovely.

Lovely scarf. A timely reminder that I need to stock up on some red yarn. In the meantime, the SNOW has started...judging from the excited weathermen (and women), we are not expected to survive.

I added him! Love the scarf. Need to stock up on some red yarn and get started on one for this year.

Beautiful scarf!! What a great dye job! So you weren't over at Ravelry trying to set up a Team RSP for the Ravelympics, or anything like that were you? Hmmmm?

LOVE(!!) the scarf!
I think it would be a hoot if a bunch of knitters from all over friended that teacher. Let him figure it out. *L*

At 9:01 pm CST MrJeffries did not exist, either. Is it his loss if I do not friend him? I think it is mine.

Ravelry ignores your posts because you post too often! Try ignoring your blog for a week or 10 days at a time, like I do, and you'll have no problems with Ravelry.
And I found MrJefferies (the Yorkie, that is) on FB and friended him.
