I just devoured it (it's a dinner plateful) with a nice hunk of Vermont goat cheese and homemade maple vinaigrette.
I picked it from my garden not more than a half hour ago. Unbelievable.

Totally believable! I still have 2 cabbages , swiss chard, parsley and mustard greens left out there.

Yum! But I think I have hatez for you right now. I don't think Texans believe in using cows for milking - it's a waste of meat or something, and goats just take up grazing space. There's no local yummy cheese. Maple vinaigrette? What's your recipe?

What a glorious day we have enjoyed today! I'm enjoying my CSA veggies. Thought of you when I got bok choi, swiss chard and kale. I remembered that yummy looking turkey burger.

Have I already sent you the link to this book a million times? I don't think I have. I love it. And it's written by a guy who gardens year-round in Maine. If it can be done in Maine, it can be done in Vermont, I'd bet.

That looks so delicious! I'm jealous, we picked up our last CSA box of the 2009 season last Tuesday. My scarf for the OSA is moving at a snail's pace...a lovely red, cushy snail's pace. I plan to help out with extra gift cards.

I am still getting grape tomatoes, in November! By the way, I would recommend this tomato to everyone who likes small, sweet tomatoes in their salads. It is a very prolific winner called "Sugary". It is the star of my containers and garden this year. Your salad is gorgeous.

I just had a salad on Friday using a TOMATO from my garden. Unbelievable. There are still some on the vine, but we're off on a 2-week vacation now. I covered the plant with plastic just to see what happens while we're gone.

We've been getting lovely-to-look-at salads in the CSA share - but they're bitter. Only the fall spinach is terrific, but I'm a lot farther south than you are!
