Yesterday I was in the bitchiest mood EVAH until I saw this on Vicki's blog:
And then I at least smiled for a minute through my frown.
Can you imagine getting all the members of your wedding party to cooperate in this? Do you think they had to audition?
For his own protection, Mr. Jefferies went to day care yesterday, because I needed a respite day from the terrierist. Or he needed a respite day from me. One or the other. Maybe both.
Yes, I'm still cranky.

*I probably still wouldn't have the guts to do this. But I wish I did.

My daughter loves to go for the shock factor** and announce that her boyfriend gets lots of hand jobs. For this award-winning ad campaign for AT&T, Ryan is the hand model. Of course, the model's name is not mentioned -- only the artist's. But yeah, those are his hands on the sides of skyscrapers in NYC and on taxis and buses and in magazines all over the place. They just finished a new series not long ago. Be on the lookout for some new, very interesting things!

**The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
That's just so completely and totally full of awesome. Makes me glad I stayed up this long past the toddler falling asleep. :)

Thanks a million for that video! I was dancing in my chair and grinning ear-to-ear and even got chills when the bride came down the aisle. I also posted the link on my blog and linked back to your blog. Again, thank you!!

My stepson is getting married in the fall...I've forwarded this on to him for consideration...what a hoot!

I saw this video just yesterday after a long day at work. I found myself smiling and wanting to dance along with them. What fun! Can you imagine the rehearsal?

Wow! Can you imagine the reception *lolol*
Google AT&T and Hands and you get lots of great photos of those hands. Very cool!

Thanks for posting the video Norma - it brought a smile on a rainy, cold Boston morning.
And I love those hand ads.

I saw this yesterday, too, and it made me cry. What a wonderful expression of joy. The bride and groom were on Good Morning American today. What a great couple! I loved the video and hope Hannah will take it as inspiration someday when she gets married. (a long time from now, of course!)

Those 2 kids are gonna make it for sure. Anyone who can find that much fun in life has figured it out already. :)
Thanks - because apparently this has been the week from hell everywhere.

That video is an instant mood-lifter and I loved all the happy comments yesterday! What I love is that it kicked off and set the tone for the entire celebration (rather than later, like at the reception) -- there could not have been anything but feelings of wonderment and happiness for the rest of the day. So awesome.

Damn! That's the way a wedding should start - exuberance and joy.

Thank you, Norma. That made me smile (and smiling is a tough one these days...) and it also made me cry - but in a good way.
Joy is contagious. Be a vector.

I would so, so do this! Wish I'd thought of it. I totally love the video. you know they'll have a very happy life together with an attitude like that!

Very cool video! Sorry about your crabby condition. I sometimes get so cranky I can't stand to hang around with me.

My crabby mood? A little less so thanks to this post. I wish my husband and I had thought of this kind of thing when we got married. We were so boring. We did do a slam dance at the reception instead of the regular wedding party dancing.
Have you seen the videos where the wedding party does the Thriller Zombie dance as the wedding party dance at the reception? Those videos are all kindsa awesome.
I'm off to google AT&T Hands.

Love the Hands campaign. If you go to http://www.bbdoatl.com/ and click the AT&T link it will take you to the ads created for Hands. There's a "Making Of" video where you can see Ryan on the shoots. Very nice!

Ha! This made my day. Thanks so much!

What a joyful way to start life together. Like others I had tears (still do, in fact).
I was wondering what Ryan was doing these days...
Posted by: LeslieEileen | Friday, July 24, 2009 at 12:19 PM
I probably wouldn't hate weddings if they were more like this!! Can't imagine what the reception must have been like.

Love Ryan's "hand jobs" tho I haven't seen any in the wild around here. I sent the wedding link to my daughter who got engaged over July 4th weekend. Maybe they can practice the moves for their "tacky wedding" themed kickball game next Friday so it will be perfect for the real thing. (They play in a city charity fund raiser league and rather than order boring uniform T's like the other teams, their team- organized by my not engaged daughter- dresses to a different theme every game. They've done 80's, nerd, Hawaiian, Patriotic, etc) For the final game of the season my daughter and her fiance will be the wedding couple and the rest of the team are the wedding party. The guys are wearing black gym shorts and tuxedo T's with tacky corsages and the gals are scouring thrift stores (and their closets!) for horrible bridesmaid dresses and a truly spectacularly atrocious wedding gown and tiara/veil combo. I may need to alert the Denver media.

THAT was awesome!
Posted by: anne | Friday, July 24, 2009 at 09:02 PM
Thanks for linking that Norma...I agree with the commenters that any couple that starts their life together with as much joy and as many good friends are destined for happiness. Nice to see this...heard about it on the radio but didn't see it til just now.
