I'm late in bringing you this news, but Ryan appeared on his first two episodes of ATWT a week ago last Wednesday. I watched them online, because I couldn't be at home to watch it on TV, and no, I do not have a TiVo or a DVR. Luddites R Us.
He looked so cute and geeky (which was the objective) in his sweater vest and tweed jacket, and I like how the character, Evan Walsh IV, has an uphill battle going on to integrate into the family and the community, and an ally who is sort of a prodigal son, so nothing is easy. Struggles and conflict make for a good character.
His dates of appearance are listed on his website, and a cute little side story about his degree of whiteness has emerged. He mentions it on his website and it's discussed briefly in this blog.
We're all wondering what effect the writer's strike is going to have on his character's development, at least in the short term. Fingers crossed!

P.S. For new readers, Ryan is my daughter Abigail's boyfriend. They're both doing a very good job of starving in New York, which is what is (sort of) their objective at the moment. And I mean that in the most beaming-with-pride way possible.
The photo in the middle looks like someone paused in the process of ripping his clothes off to take his picture!

As I was clicking back from Ryan's website to yours, my graphic designer wannabe/interning in a video post production company son walked by and demanded that I go back to wherever I just was, i.e., Ryan site. "That's a good website," he commented. "Clean and professional." You can pass that on to Ryan :) And congrats to the boy!

I think he's doing a fine job. Of course, I can't stand the character of Craig, and that's who he's had his scenes with, but I'll endure Craig for Ryan's sake. :-)

The day I was home sick I tried to find the right soap. Too bad I just got waylaid by other things (like holding my stomach and moaning). I'll have to check them out on-line, too!

He's just so darn cute. Makes me want to start watching soaps again. Well, almost.

Checked out his resume. I've very amused at the fact that his hair and eye color are there. I understand why they are there, but it's still amusing.
I didn't know he was on All My Kids. His resume says he was a "recurring" character. What's his character name? I'll have to ask my grandmother if she saw him. She watches that show religiously and has for the last 30 years or more. As for ATWT, I used to watch it when I was a teenager but I haven't for years. I'll have to find the episodes online and check them out. He plays a scientist! How awesome! Also, um, it's true about the tan. We don't get outside much. Actually, my dermatologist was saying that academics are more prone to skin cancer for this reason because when we do go out, we burn. Also, I have yet to meet a scientist who was quite that good looking! Wait, let me think about that for a minute....nope. They do not look like that (well, except for my husband of course, I don't want to get into trouble here)!
P.S. We don't wear sweater vests or lab coats, either.

Gosh, he is just a cutie, isn't he? Starving, but cute.
:D
I can't help but be proud, as a satellite stand in.
