GOOD NEWS: WE HAVE PASSED $3,500 IN THE RED SCARF FUND FOR FOSTER YOUTH
More good news: That means prizes will be awarded shortly.
More good news: My darling Abigail is home for a visit for a few days.
Some bad news: Of course this means that my work has exploded again.
Some more GOOD news: Abigail acted as my random number generator, and I asked her to "pick four numbers between 1 and 146" (the number of emails I have informing me of donations to The Fund). "Four prizes for now is a good place to start, methinks!" exclaimed the Queen of This Blog.
The numbers Abigail chose are: 57, 97, 65, and 123.
More bad news: I am so exhausted I am about to crash, and so I'm too tired to do the number-matching and prize-awarding tonight.
I am a cruel, heartless ruler, I know. Sorry! Soon, I promise. I truly need to get some sleep before another grueling day at work.

Maybe I can distract you with a post I wrote last weekend, and have had on hold, about Russian tomatoes?
My friend Kristen lived in Moscow for a good bit of time, and, knowing my gardening bent, she brought me back some Russian seeds. Kristen, this is for you:
A celebration of Tomatoes "Moskvich" (Muskovite)

"The Forbidden Objects!" she screeches. So obviously they produce well, but how do they taste?!

Great news on the OFA front! I have grown Moskvitch before- small and they taste good! I got them from Seed Savers Exchange- that's in the day when I grew my own seedlings. Many of the "black" tomatoes come from Russia too btw and can also be found at SSE.

Woo hoo! And I haven't even donated yet. (As soon as I get home and have more than two minutes at a time at the computer, promise.)
I'm also trying to come up with a crochet pattern or two...

Okay, the tomatoes are great, but I love your Laura Ashley "Chintz" dishes. I have them, too. Maybe I'll get them out and use them again!!
