Twins! Ribbed for...(oh, never mind - it's so unoriginal.)
Click if you care to for a closer look. That yarn is really not fuchsia. It's Rrrrrrrhubarb, which is distinctly more warm a color than appears in the picture. Now I'm off to cast on for the back in Rrrrrraisin, which is sort of brown, but .....not. And I've made the executive decision to tip the edges in Rrrrrhubarb...just coz I like sayin' it and rolling my rrrrrrs, if nothing else. So it's going to have just the cast-on row in ....yes....say it with me.....rrrrrhubarb.
And there's a sock that is currently in the Time Out Corner for bad behavior.
*sigh* It's a long story. I'm not up for it right now. Except to say that this photo shows the colors better:
I'm currently in a crisis of design and gauge, but based on the colors alone, I've decided I'm naming these the Vineyard Socks. And they're my socks for

Heartfelt thanks to everyone for all the well wishes. I'm a tough old boot, and I have an arsenal of self-care tools and strategies that make my body a pretty unwelcoming place for a virus, so today I'm 100% back on my feet, with just a wimpy cough every now and then to remind me who's trying to be boss. But I'll tell you something: That was one sonofabitch of a virus, and I hope you don't get it. It started in my throat, went to my nose, went to my head and sinuses, down to my chest, spiking a fever of 101.7, then went in my ears, and didn't leave until it had gone to my neck, giving me such a stiff neck I seriously got nervous about meningitis. Not.good. In an upcoming post, I'll show you photos of my anti-virus and sinus care arsenal. It might help some of you, too.
And the continuing ed points? (That's what I meant by "CEUs" in one of my posts last week.) I read five articles and passed five tests over the weekend, giving me 1.0 points. I had .02 before, so that leaves ...um 14 times 9, -(xy), carry the three, divide by 9, add 1279.....um, yeah, nine more tests I have to do. Piece of cake.
What? Did somebody say cake?
(Well.....maybe I'm not fully recovered.)
....off to cast on the back of Ribby now.....
Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians!
Oh poor sickie Normie! Feel better--is taking a shot of whiskey considered "natural" healing? Me thinks yes.

"Crisis based on design and gauge"? What? They're too big?
Is that the super special sock yarn that you got at the festival? Beautiful.

Glad you're feeling better. I've had several people at work down with a really unforgiving cold so I can relate. I'd love to read about your arsenal of remedies.

I was all ready to say rrrrrhubarb, but you distracted me with that cake. Glad you're feeling better, love.

Lolly made that ribbing joke not too long ago - and it was something like NOT ALWAYS for her pleasure. I still hate my ribby. But yours is looking mighty fine - hope the back goes fast.
Glad you're feeling better.

it's a darn good thing those sorts of ills aren't contageous via online blog reading "contact!" (otherwise I think I'd be under the weather quite a lot and would need whatever is in your medicine cabinet...)
the yarn colors for your Vineyard socks are beautiful! I hope the next round is smoother and you're humming along soon.

If you're going to make this a thing, I'm going to have to practice rolling my Rs.

Please, PLEASE post the anti-viral regimine. I'm afraid we're starting a bout of it here, and I have mid-terms the next two weeks along with papers that are due. Please?

OK, so I've consumed a full bottle of the magical Apitherapy elixer as well as some other herbal cough medicine and I'm still feeling crap. Please, bring on the anti-viral regime! BTW, I giggled at the ribbing joke. What does that say about me?
love the colors in the vineyard sock!

does your antiviral/sinus arsenal include a neti pot? good stuff, the neti pot. the other day I was in a knitting class of 4 (including the teacher) and 3 out of 4 of us have a neti pot (including the teacher). if you do, too, we'll know that netis go with knitters. (arrrgghh)

Every time I hear you say "virus", I go into my medicine cabinet and take one of those horse pills. You know which ones....
;-)

But they're so pretty...you must make them.
Glad you're feeling better.
