No, not mine.
Laurie's. That Laurie (of no blog).
Isn't it gawgeous??! She knit Eris in Lana D'Oro. (which, coincidentally, I have in my stash, and Laurie seemed to remember that.) She modified the hemline a bit to make it symmetrical and sewed in the openings a bit. "I'm just not an asymmetrical kind of girl," she says. Neither am I. I hadn't noticed that the hem in the pattern was not symmetrical.
She is looking pained in the photo, she explains, because she has found out that even though she has this fabulous Rhinebeck sweaterage, she will not be able to go to Rhinebeck this year. Her work is not cooperating. What a shame. She was an integral part of the New Hampshire Sheep & Wool experience this year, and Rhinebeck last year. We're going to miss you, Laurie!
I offered to model the sweater at Rhinebeck, but she was having none of it. Damn. I tried.
Congratulations on a lovely, lovely sweater.
You're NOT thinking of starting Eris, too, are you? Don't you have enough to do? How's the ribbi cardi coming along?

OH, Laurie, that is gorgeous! Simply perfect! Congrats on a wonderful addition to your wardrobe.
And Norma, I really thought you told me that she mailed IT to you. Duh. Wouldn't it be great to have sweater knitting friends, though?
hmmm?
I feel Laurie's pain about being a Non-rhinebeck person.
blech.

I echo that "gawgeous"! Congrats to Laurie on a really great sweater. She's smart, too.

Lovely, lovely sweater Laurie. Norma, I'm thinking you need to swipe it so you can show it off for her. You know, you'd be doing her a favor.

oooh, she did a nice job! Hmmm, somebody needs a blog. I just started a Cozy out of Lana d'Oro last night. I didn't have enough for a sweater, I'm hoping it makes a nice wrap. Thanks for sharing Laurie with us.

Thanks for sharing Laurie's beautiful Eris. I didn't realize that Eris' hem is asymmetrical, b/c I'm not an asymmetrical person either. Hmm, I'm not so sure about this pattern anymore.

Ahh, I just looked over at Eris pattern on Girlfromauntie's site and the pullover hem is asymmetric, but the cardigan, which I am making is symmetrical. Whew!

Beautiful. And do I need to say how jealous I am of it being made in Lana d'oro?
Rogue wasn't symmetric either.

So I guess "what can Brown do for you?" does not include gardening.

So pretty!!!!
Too bad charts confuse the bejayus out of me so I never knit something that has a chart based pattern.
So, I will live vicariously through others!

Oh, that's simply delicious. Nice color for you, Laurie.
I'm also sitting on some Lana D'oro that is begging to be made into a sweater, hmmm... I've actually wondered how that yarn would work with cables, looks as though I have no worries!

What lovely knitting stimulation!

It's a great knit! I didn't realize how wide the neckline is. It's very flattering on Laurie

I'll say so too; fabulous and knit fit for such a fiber goddess.

I bought the pattern for Eris - SUCH a beautiful sweater! Haven't gotten yarn picked out for it yet, but I have test-knit the yoke. Great fun & beautiful cables! I found the charts very well-written & easy to follow, though I have been knitting for 40+ yrs... (OUCH! Did I say that? How can that be, when I'm obviously only 29? (that's my story & I'm sticking to it...))
Anyway, Norma, if you do succumb to Eris (and I think everyone should...), I'd be more than happy to help you over the sticky bits.
And mixing the tincture with merlot sounds like the perfect tonic!
