I stayed up way past my bedtime last night. Granted, my bedtime seems to be getting later and later with the passing years (what is happening to me?!) but suddenly it was 2:45 a.m. and I didn't even feel tired. I just happened to look at my watch and couldn't believe it. Of course you know what that does to me this morning. I'm like a wine-o the morning after a bottle of Boone's Farm.
I was trying to fix Tina. Hm. It's more tricky than I thought it would be. I don't know. Today I'm going to have to get some other top patterns and study them and see if I can get somewhere that way. It has to do with the wide ribbing and cables extending up. I see now why the pattern was written the way it was, squared off, and cut in way deep. But I'm not going to let it get the better of me. I'm a Bad-Ass Knitter, remember?
Also, true confessions to all who are drooling along with me about Kirstin and Peace Fleece in my yesterday's post. I love it, I really do, but I do feel that the P.F. swatches up just a little too loosely for the seed stitch to look quite as defined as we'd want. So...............you guessed it [hanging head slightly ..........yeah, right, for about a NANOSECOND ...... then jutting my chin out, shoulders back, chest out (thank goodness for the yoga!) and holding my HEAD HIGH] I ordered some Beatrice from here. The price turns out to be a tiny bit less than I thought, but not so's you'd notice. It comes to about $150 WITH shipping. What a break. But this is going to be so worth it, I can feel it in my bones. I hope they come through with the yarn. I did get an order confirmation, but 20 balls! I hope they have it. I'll keep y'all posted. Meanwhile I have more than enough to keep me occupied. (remember the yellowy Koigu? and the bias stole? and the Denim Silk Lots of Choices top? and let's not forget Tina...and I found the lost ball of Tossa so I can finish the cool Tossa scarf....man......I need more hands.)
I leave you with a photo of the exact spot from which I took Greta's rock. So peaceful. I have to get back up there again soon (says Norma, now that her blisters have almost healed....)
